ILS Ex - Indicator of ventilator´s labile status

The indicator of ventilator´s labile status is a diagnostic device determined for the continuous monitoring of a dynamic unstability of air flow in the ventilator. The dynamic unstability (rotating breakaway) provokes strong fall of the transported air volume, efficiency aggravation and thereby also the enhancement of machine stress. Pressure impulses arising in the sphere of the ventilator´s circulating wheel are often the reason of both fan blades and ventilators serious damages. Another typical unstability demonstration is "pumping" manifesting by pressure impulses in the connected pipeline.

The ILS Ex device analyses a dynamic pressure inside of the ventilator and its short-term changes. A rotating breakaway origin as the begin of ventilator´s changeover to the labile status is evaluated basic on this analysis. Dynamic pressure changes are evaluated of a high sensitivity and both mechanical and chemical resistant piezoelectric pressure sensor typeST 609. The sensor is located in the ventilator´s cover over the circulating wheel.

The ILS Ex picks up again on the previous type ILS A and takes over experience from its operating deployment. Completely new construction of electronic circuits of the ILS Ex type issues from the signal processing in the special signal microprocessor type DSP. DSP processors mean the new access in the technics of the dynamic signals processing and evaluation. Part of the device are also circuits of interior diagnostics permitting the permanent control of the fault-tolerant ILS Ex function.

The construction of the ILS Ex is also adapted for requirements of using in the environment with the explosive risk for both mining (group No. I) and surface (group No. II) device. The device corresponds with requirements of the decree of the government No. 176/97 and was confirmed by the authorized testing laboratory FTZÚ Ostrava - Radvanice.
